This is a piece that was inspired by Shortest Straw. It has somewhat of a prog, and is a fast but not blistering song. The lyrics deal with ecological disaster, and I consider these my best lyrics every written.
lyrics
Economic paradise
Pleasure just to the eyes
Outward angle overshadows
Ostracization of mass
In small percentile's clasp
Ignorant bliss continues growth
New generation has been birthed
In brazen bull around the earth
Life as we know it has been set free
Free to roam in hell
Life as we know it cannot be
Be free in our cell
The world burns
Revolution no avail
Rebels constitute the sail
Downed by the gust of corrupt law
Battlefields are in the press
Politicians come abreast
Shutting down the world's clear cut call
New generation has been birthed
In brazen bull around the earth
Life as we know it has been set free
Free to roam in hell
Life as we know it cannot be
Be free in our cell
The world burns
Right choice undersubsidized
Death to underlying eyes
Better angles reveal it all
Recognition inside group
Seeing never ending loop
Lasting until the final fall
New generation has been birthed
In brazen bull around the earth
Life as we know it has been set free
Free to roam in hell
Life as we know it cannot be
Be free in our cell
The world burns
